We are working with a range of agencies who are responding to the Auckland flooding and are closely monitoring the situation in other regions.

A red heavy rain warning is in place for Northland, Auckland north of Orewa and Bay of Plenty west of Kawerau.

Orange heavy rain warnings are in place for Auckland from Orewa southwards, Great Barrier Island, Bay of Plenty and northern Gisborne.

We urge our ethnic communities to take care and follow official advice.
