Ethnic Communities Development Fund

We administer funds to support community development and social cohesion.

The Ethnic Communities Development Fund (the Fund) provides $4.2 million each financial year (1 July to 31 June). We accept applications for the Fund throughout the year. You can apply any time.

Applications can take up to 12 weeks to process and for a decision to be made. Make sure you submit a complete application enough time before a project or event starts.

If you submit your application late or if a decision is delayed until after your event or project starts, funding is not guaranteed.

Make sure you understand your obligations if you receive funding.

Read the Ministry’s Policy and Administrative Guidelines to learn about the grant obligations and how decisions are made.
