Our Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland conference brought more than 200 people from different backgrounds and cultures together to celebrate the superdiversity of Aotearoa New Zealand. Attendees participated in vibrant discussions on how ethnic communities can continue to uplift each other and make Aotearoa a more inclusive place.

Cultural Kōrero 2023 - Auckland
Our Cultural Kōrero evening was a celebration and exploration of ethnic communities’ contributions to the cultural and arts sector. It was also the official launch of Professor Edwina Pio ONZM’s book Aotearoa & Bharat Māori-Indian.

Ethnic Advantage Conference - Christchurch 2022
Our Ōtautahi Christchurch conference was a time for reflection, celebration and inspiration. Author and former refugee Abbas Nazari shared his touching story, panellists tackled topics from health equity to being culturally competent in bi-cultural Aotearoa and comedian Pax Assadi brought the laughs.

Our first Ethnic Advantage conference was held in Ōtepoti Dunedin in November 2022. Representatives from various ethnic communities, government ministries and other organisations came together to share their stories, discuss issues important to them and make new connections.
