Aotearoa Latin American Community Incorporated (ALAC Inc.)

We are dedicated to providing Social Services and Support for Latin American Communities living in Aotearoa New Zealand and have been for the last 30 years. Here at ALAC Inc., our primary mission is to provide holistic and culturally appropriate social services and support for Latin American whānau and communities. Our organisation is underpinned by El Buen Vivir and values the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, whanaungatanga, tino rangatiratanga, manaakitanga. All our services are collaborative (partnership) and aim to enrich our clients (participants) so they can live independently and participate whole-heartedly in Aotearoa New Zealand society without compromising their cultural roots and identity (protection).

We were originally called Auckland Latin American Community Incorporated but as years went on and more and more Latin-American whānau and communities wanted to make Aotearoa New Zealand their home, the demand for our services also increased nationally, bringing us to today - with a total of 2 offices nationwide - Auckland, Hamilton.
