Cyclone and Flood support

Information for ethnic communities about what support is available and where to get help

The Ministry for Ethnic Communities is supporting ethnic service providers and communities following Cyclone Gabrielle and the Auckland Anniversary floods.

Communities responded quickly to both events, helping each other source food, shelter and other basic needs. Ethnic service providers have worked tirelessly to ensure communities’ needs are met.

Our cyclone and flooding support hub includes information for communities and service providers. It includes key information about what support is available, how to access funding, links to relevant information from various government agencies working directly on the response, and stories from our communities.

This webpage will continue to be updated as we receive new information.
